The Mosby Heritage Area Association is seeking junior and senior students to fill its Student Volunteer Program.    A minimum of 20 hours is required for each student.  Students in the program will report directly to the Executive Director.

Duties will include the facilitation of communications with our members both via mailings and the internet, administrative duties at our headquarters in Atoka (4 miles west of Middleburg on Route 50), assisting in the planning, coordination and implementation of association events, and computer work.

Volunteers will be required to be interviewed by the Executive Director, who is willing to conduct interviews at the school.  Work schedules may be adjusted to meet the volunteer’s needs.  Volunteers can work on teacher workdays, school holidays or breaks, after school, on weekends for events, and during the summer.

At the end of the program, documentation will be provided for use in resumes for job and college applications.  As a result of their experience, volunteers will have gained an idea of how not-for-profit organizations operate and of the challenges they face.

Interested students should contact, Judy Reynolds at 540-687-6681 or by email, info@mosbyheritagearea.org on Mondays through Fridays to set up an interview.   The application can be filled out and brought to the interview or can be mailed to MHAA prior to the interview.
