Each month on the first Thursday, volunteers meet at Atoka in the Rector House to work on various projects. Volunteers come anytime during the day that is convenient for them and work for 2 hours. For those who cannot come on this day, arrangements are made to come at other times more convenient to the volunteer.
Volunteers are needed to help at events, which includes serving refreshments, selling MHAA materials, greeting and registering participants.
Volunteers are needed at our interpretive programs, Cavaliers, Courage and Coffee and The Fireside Mosby. Along with the usual event activities of refreshment table, sales table and greeting visitors, volunteers help set up for the program and direct traffic.
If you would like to become a member of the Gray Ghost Interpretive Group and tell stories of life in the Mosby Heritage Area during the time of the Civil War, Richard Gillespie, Director of Education, will be happy to talk to you and give you information. Call him at 540-687-5578.
